The Ingenious Award Program is a year long initiative that celebrates businesses which demonstrate measurable evidence of productivity improvement, efficiency gains, revenue growth, overall business transformation or other organizational outcomes through the use of technology. Organizations may nominate themselves or be nominated by others. Candidates or their nominators are required to submit a short project description and clear evidence of the correlation between the technology and measurable business outcomes. Two panels of distinguished judges will assess the nominees and identify program finalists and award winners.
Awards are presented in six categories: large private enterprises, large public organizations, small and medium-sized private companies, small and medium-sized public organizations, small to medium- sized ICT businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. Award winners will be publicly announced at a gala dinner in Toronto on November 8, 2016 and their stories will be told in nationwide Canadian media.
This year, the event will once again feature the awarding of the CIO of the Year Awards, recognizing overall excellence among Canada’s community of CIOs. This award is presented to an outstanding CIO in the public sector and the private sector who demonstrates the qualities of business and technological vision, entrepreneurship, a capacity to drive enterprise transformation and a measurable operational strength that delivers shareholder or stakeholder value.
